개인의 사회적 자본이 사회적 갈등 인식 및 포용성에 미치는 영향 분석

초록

사회･경제적 양극화 심화, 계층 간 위화감 증대, 사회갈등 심화 등의 사회문제가 심각해지면서 사회의 안정과 통합, 지속가능성, 포용성 증대에 기여할 수 있는 사회적 자본에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그래서 사회적 자본이 사회갈등에 대한 인식과 포용성에 미치는 영향을 2018년 사회통합실태조사 자료를 활용하여 실증분석하였다. 여성일수록, 젊을수록, 건강하지 않을수록 사회갈등을 심각하게 인식하였으며, 남성일수록, 젊을수록, 건강할수록 사회적 약자 구성원에 대한 포용성이 높았다. 사회적 자본의 경우 사회갈등에 대한 인식에는 ‘네트워크’와 ‘신뢰’가 의미있게 작용하였는데 가족중심의 소통, 집단에 대한 신뢰가 중요하였다. 사회적 약자 구성원에 대한 포용성은 규범을 준수하고, 참여활동에 적극적이며, 개방형 네트워크를 가지고, 집단에 대한 신뢰가 높을수록 증가하였으나, 기관 및 사회공정성에 대한 신뢰는 낮을수록 포용성이 증가하였다. 본 연구는 사회적 자본에 기초하여 사회갈등에 대한 인식과 포용성을 살펴보고 사회의 지속가능한 발전을 위하여 사회갈등을 해소하고, 사회통합 및 포용성을 증대하기 위한 방안을 모색하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 향후에는 응답자의 특성을 보다 세분한 연구가 진행된다면 포용성 확대를 위한 맞춤형 정책 마련에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of individual’s social capital on social conflict awareness and inclusiveness, resolve social conflicts and seek ways to increase social integration and inclusion for the sustainable development of society. Data from the 2018 Social Integration Survey were used for analysis, and the results are as follows. Women, young people, and unhealthy people were seriously aware of social conflicts, and men, young people, and healthy people were more inclusive of the socially disadvantaged. In the case of social capital, network and trust played a significant role in recognizing social conflicts, and family-centered communication and trust in groups were important. Inclusiveness toward socially underprivileged members increased as they comply with the norms, are active in participating activities, have an open network, and more trust in the group. However, the lower the trust in agency and social fairness, the more inclusiveness increased.
