지방소멸위험에 따른 도시 유형화 및 유형별 특성 분석

본 연구는 전국 229개 시·군·구의 지방소멸위험 유형을 분류하고, 분류된 지역의 주거환경 및 일자리, 도시서비스 특성과 지방소멸위험 간 관계를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해, 각 지역의 2017년부터 2021년까지 인구 정보와 주거환경 정보, 일자리정보, 도시서비스 정보를 활용하여 잠재프로파일분석(Latent Profile Analysis)과 분산분석(ANOVA) 등을 실시하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지방소멸위험 유형은 군 단위 중심의 ‘소멸 고위험 지역(Class 1)’, 광역시의 구도심 및 지방 중소도시 중심의 ‘소멸위험 주의 지역(Class 2)’, 지방 거점도시 및 혁신도시가 포함된 ‘소멸위험 보통 단계 지역(Class 3)’, 서울·수도권 및 광역도시 중심의 ‘현재는 소멸위험이 낮지만 소멸위험도 증가 폭이 큰 지역(Class 4)’ 으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 주거환경 및 일자리 특성은 Class 3과 Class 4가 유사한 패턴으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 도시서비스 특성은 주거환경 및 일자리 특성과 다른 양상을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과를 기초자료로 도시계획과 도시재생 정책 및 지역균형발전 측면에서 시사점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to classify the types of local Extinction risk in 229 cities, counties, and districts nationwide and analyze the relationship between the residential environment, job and urban service characteristics of classified areas, and the risk of local extinction. To this end, LPA(latent profile analysis and ANOVA(analysis of variance) were conducted using population information and residential environment information, job information, urban service information from 2017 to 2021 for each region. The main findings in this research results are as follows. First, the types of regional Extinction risk were categorized into ‘very high Extinction risk areas(Class 1)’ centered on counties, ‘high Extinction risk areas(Class 2)’ centered on old downtown of metropolitan cities and small to medium-sized cities, ‘moderate Extinction risk areas(Class 3)’ centered on regional hub city and innovative cities, and ‘Currently, low Extinction risk areas, but increase significantly(Class 4)’ centered on Seoul, the Seoul metropolitan, and metropolitan cities. Second, the characteristics of the residential environment and job showed a similar pattern between Class 3 and Class 4. Lastly, urban service characteristics showed different aspects from residential environment and job characteristics. Based on these results, implications for urban planning, urban regeneration policies, and balanced development of the local territory are presented.
