Abstract
This paper deals with Ismael and Isaac among the sons of prophet Abraham in the Quran. When Abraham had lived in Palestine for about 24 years, Sarah, the wife of Abraham gave Hagar who was the slave girl of her to him as a wife to give him children. So Abraham got Ismael from her, who was his firstborn. At the time of the birth of Ismael, Abraham was 86 years old, and it was 13 years before Isaac was born. After Ismael was born, Allah gave him a another son Isaac from Sarah who was deprived her of children. When Hagar gave birth to Ismael, and Sarah gave birth Isaac in particular, younger brother of Ismael, Sarah felt ill towards Hagar, and asked Abraham to hide her face. Abraham therefore took his wife Hagar and his son Ismael and started his journey towards the place where Mecca is situated today. When Ismael became a youth, Abraham had a dream that he was being commanded to offer his only son for sacrifice. When Abraham tried to pass the knife through his neck, but it did not cut anything, The sacrifice was s white sheep sent by Allah instead of one of two sons for Abraham's obedience to the command of All. In fact Islam concludes that the sacrificed one was Ismael and not Isaac according to the opinion of the muslim scholars. According to the opinions of muslims scholars, Isaac from Sarah had related to the all Israel tribes and their chain of prophethood ended with Jesus. Ismael from Hagar was the forefathers of all Arabs. He had no prophet in his progeny except the seal of them, the prophet Muhammad.
