Abstract

「Nonggawolryungga」 was created by Jung Hak-you who had been a local intellectual and a practical scientist at the late Chosun Dynasty. It is an old form of Korean long verse and described vividly the time's customs and changing actualities of the rural community with an illustrious official's prestige. He narrated every details related to the subdivisions of the seasons and farm works so it is regarded a typical work of a realization of ‘the intention of a narrative from the all sides'. 「Nonggawolryungga」 shows a complete and organically balanced structure and incorporates a duplicity and a complex concept also. Intention to keep the existing ideology and system were arranged in the prologue and conclusion- a frame of the work. Changing actuals and concrete experiences In the opposite were written in the main discourse. So it could constitute a harmony between detailed presentations and metaphysical assertions or cross concepts between ideal intention and actual intention. The most specialty of 「Nonggawolryungga」's structure is ‘Methodical Principle' and there is an agriculture as the origins of human affairs at the center of the structure. This acts as principles of the creation or construction in several spots of the work.
