洪大容의 『의山問答』을 통해 살펴본 한국 生態 思想의 가능성

Abstract

Today's perils that we are confronted with are brought out by destruction of nature which is accelerated for overwhelming human-oriented view. Western science decreased most of disasters from nature, but made us feel separated from nature and gave us distance on our world. We need proper understandings of nature to be based on truly ecological thought about all life-forms including humans. Hong, Dae-yong, one of literati of ancient Korea Chosun, was known as one who expressed a developed scientific thought in his Uisanmundop. He thought that all life-forms are equal because they were generated by ‘Qi(氣)’ while he recognized the difference between human and life-forms. There are the view that we should see all life-forms as what they are. In the scientific thought of Uisanmundop, there are many possibilities to reconcile with ecological thought. This paper is to clarify that it is caused by the real state of nature and find the way overcoming today's perils in effort to see the nature as what she is.
