Abstract

Lee, Se-bo was from the royal family and was Sadaebu Shijo poet in the later of Chosun. This study is on the discourse aspect in the center of the work－one of his works－ “Poongah” which he is saying as a governor. Therefore, on the theme, I analyzed and presented the realistic criticism shijo, moral shijo, exile shijo, according to the literary discourse. As a result, Lee, Se-bo's shijo had three directions of the discourse aspect of Sadaebu shijo: First, to observe negative reality of the late of Chosun Dynasty (head for the theme of the conversation), second, to admonish and charge the addressee who was made by him (head for the addressee of the conversation), third, head for the theme of the addresser. The consistent attitude had the justice which was based on the general moral and custom and the speaker's voice with the power advised and ordered to a corrupt official. This ‘stylized persona’ presented his view of the world which he had lived Sadaebu from the royal family. That is, he wanted to secure of royal authority according to the establishment of political discipline, and he as a bureaucrat and royal clansmen loved the people and governed well. Therefore, the discourse aspect of Lee Se-bo's the realistic criticism Shijo showed the patriotism consciousness with the radical and the structural inclination as Sadaebu and the aspect for being of the typical Sadaebu Shijo rather than a heated practical reformation aim and modernist consciousness.
