寫實主義 단편소설과 描寫的 逼眞性 －背景 描寫의 機能을 중심으로－

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to study the text elements that form the verisimilitude based on pretence theory in the 1920-30's Korean realism short-story. And then, the thesis considers the general meanings of the novels throughout the Descriptive verisimilitude. On the premise that reality of the fictional world are effects evoked by the constituents of the fictional world, the thesis looks into the reality effect in relation to pretence theory. Specifically, the reality effect is achieved by organization of text elements, which lead readers in the pretence toward the fictional world effectively and then sustain reader's pretence toward the fictional world. The truth effect, on the other hand, is accomplished by the constitution of text elements, which evoked the reader's mental effects by the fictional world.In the novels, the formal focuses on reducing unfamiliarity of readers who live in the real world by creating the fictional world based on the real world. In other words, the fictional world in novels is achieved in coherence to the real world, so this makes it easy for readers to assimilate with the fictional world. And The Description makes a novel real. The fictional world formed by the reality effect shows specific names, times, and people in a description, so readers can assimilate the fictional world with the real world easily. For this reason, the fictional world is not limited to itself but it evokes reality conversely. Hence, the fictional world organized by the reality effect in his novels communicate with reality directly.
