中世國語 1音節 用言語幹의 音韻構造－ㆍ/ㅡ 末音 語幹을 중심으로－

中世國語의 ‘-’나 ‘-’와 같은 어간은 각각 ‘*브드-’, ‘*-’와 같은 2음절 어간에서 제1음절의 ㆍ/ㅡ가 ㅂ 또는 ㅎ과 無聲平障碍音 사이에서 탈락하여 형성된 것이라 할 수 있다.그런데 이렇게 재구된 어간은 中世國語의 여느 2音節 單一語 語幹들이 보이는 傾向으로부터 다소 거리가 있어 보인다. 재구된 어간과 같이 어간말에 자음을 지니지 않은 어간은 대부분 ㅣ나 하향이중모음으로 끝나며 그 외의 母音語幹은 그리 많지 않다. 수가 많은 두 부류의 어간은 CVCV(I)의 예 몇 개만을 보인다.
Abstract
Phonological Structure of Monosyllabic Verb Stems in Middle Korean Kim, Hyun It is one of the characteristic tendencies of monosyllabic verb stems of Middle Korean that initial consonants are combined with stem-final vowels quite systematically. While consonant clusters and aspirated consonants take [ʌ, ɯ] only as a stem-final vowel, lenis consonants take [a, ə, o, u] only. *C1VC2- stems are reconstructed for verb stems consisting of consonant clusters or aspirated consonants and [ʌ, ɯ]. C1, C2 and V are assumed to be [p] or [h], a voiceless lenis obstruent and [ʌ] or [ɯ] respectively. The condition which deletes V is C__LC+VH. This change affects only conjugational forms with ɯ-endings and a-endings but not those with consonant-endings. These forms are analyzed into new ʌ/ɯ-final stems plus endings and finally old stems are levelled out.
