본 연구의 목적은 여자고등학생의 자살생각에 미치는 일상생활에서 비롯되는 스트레스를 재규명하고, 새로운 변수로 신체만족도가 자살생각과 의미 있는 관계가 있는지 영향을 밝혀, 여자 고등학생들의 정신건강 특히 자살생각 예방을 위한 효과적인 개입을 위해 고려해야 할 요인들에 대한 자료를 제공할 수 있으며, 자살생각 예방을 하는데 실천방향을 제시하는데 있다. 연구결과 여자고등학생의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인이 생활 스트레스 뿐 만이 아니라 신체만족도라는 새로운 요인을 증명해낸 것에 의의가 있다. 따라서 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 여고생의 자살생각을 예방하기 위한 개입 프로그램을 개발하고자 할 때 여고생의 인구사회학적 특성을 고려하고 생활 스트레스를 완화시키고 대처할 수 있는 프로그램을 만드는데 많은 연구가 필요하다고 본다. 그 뿐 아니라 자신의 신체에 대한 긍정적인 생각을 갖을 수 있도록 신체만족도를 높이는 체계적이고 차별화된 청소년 자살예방 프로그램이 필요함을 시사해 주고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to re-examine the effect of daily life stress on high school gilrs' suicidal ideation and to examine if body satisfaction is a new factor related with their suicidal ideation, so that it could provide information on crucial elements of high school girls' mental health especially to prevent suicidal ideation and suggest practical and theoretical implications. Based on these analysis, the following theoretical and practical implications can be drawn out: This research places significance on the fact that it has proved a new factor of suicidal ideation among high-school girls, mainly body satisfaction as well as daily life stress. In this context, the demographic characteristics of high-school girls must be taken into consideration when new programs to prevent suicidal ideation for high-school girls are to be developed. Also, further intensive research on factors that can alleviate daily life stress and those that can replace this should be conducted. In addition, this search suggests the need of systematic and new programs to give youths a positive mind on their bodies so that the body satisfaction rises which will in return prevent them from committing suicide.
