부모로부터의 방임․정서학대 및 신체학대 경험이 청소년의 자살행동에 미치는 영향: 학교폭력 가해경험의 매개효과

초록

본 연구는 청소년이 부모로부터 받은 학대경험을 ‘방임․정서학대’와 ‘신체학대’로 구분하여 자살행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 학교폭력 가해의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 전국의 30개 초․중․고등학교에서 1,026부를 조사하였으며, 자살에 대한 문항이 없는 초등학생 305명과 응답이 불성실한 13부를 제외한 708부를 최종적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 조사대상자 중 66.7%가 지난 1년간 부모로부터 학대받은 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 26.9%가 지난 1년간 자살행동을 한 것으로 응답하였으며, 63.7%가 지난 1년간 학교폭력 가해경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구모형을 검증한 결과 부모로부터의 방임․정서학대 경험은 청소년의 자살행동에 정적인 방향으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 매개변인인 학교폭력 가해는 부분매개효과를 보여주었다. 부모에게서 받은 신체학대의 경우도 청소년의 자살에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었으며, 매개변인인 학교폭력 가해는 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 부모로부터의 학대와 학교폭력 가해에 노출된 청소년들의 자살문제에 보다 효과적으로 개입할 수 있는 함의를 제시하고자 한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to observe the impact on adolescents on their suicidal behavior based on their child abuse experience from their parent in the aspects of ‘negligence and emotional abuse’ and also in ‘physical abuse’ to draw mediating affect on committing school violence. For this study, 708 students were surveyed from Korea. As a result of the survey, 66.7% of the adolescents experienced abuse from their parent over the past 12 months, 26.9% showed suicidal behaviors and 63.7% have committed school violence. The outcome of studying the research model is as follows. Firstly, the experience of negligence and emotional abuse showed a significant impact in the direction of suicidal behavior and committing school violence, as the mediating variable, showed partial mediating effect. Secondly, physical abuse from the parents showed a significant impact in the direction of suicidal behavior and committing school violence, as the mediating variable, showed partial mediating effect. Based on the outcome of the study, effective intervention measures and prevention measures on the issue of adolescents’ suicides are proposed.
