대학생의 진로 불안감 변화에 따른 잠재계층 분류 및 영향요인 검증

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 진로 불안감 변화에 따라 구분되는 잠재계층(집단)의 수와 그 변화 형태를 알아보고, 각 잠재계층의 분류에 영향력을 미치는지 요인들을 검증하는 것이다. 한국교육고용패널조사의 고등학교 3학년 코호트 자료에 Nagin(1999)의 준모수적 집단 중심 접근 방법(semi- parametric group-based approach)을 적용한 결과, 3개의 잠재계층이 도출되었고, 변화 형태에 따라 저수준 집단, 증가 집단, 고수준 집단으로 명명하였다. 다항로짓분석을 통해 영향요인을 검증한 결과 성별, 특기인지, 결단력, 계획실천능력, 학과만족도, 대학성적이 잠재계층을 결정하는 데 유의미한 변수로 나타났다. 본 연구는 진로 불안감 변화에 영향을 줄 수 있는 변수들을 바탕으로 잠재계층을 예측하여 진로에 대한 불안감을 높은 상태로 유지하는 학생들을 위한 적절한 대비책을 찾는 데 도움을 줄 것이다.
Abstract
The purposes of the present study were to identify the subgroups (i.e., latent classes) depending on university students' change patterns in career anxiety and to test the effects of several variables on determining the latent classes. For these goals, researcher applied Nagin's(1999) semi-parametric group-based approach to the Korean Education and Employment Panel. Results showed that four latent classes were identified, which could be defined based on the patterns as low-level group, increasing group, and high-level group. By adding several variables to the unconditional latent class model, the results of multinomial logit analysis showed that gender, ability knowledge, ability for decision, ability to keep plans, satisfaction to department, and grade variables were significant determinants of the latent classes. Findings from this study suggest the need to consider heterogeneity in the study of students' career anxiety to facilitate more refined targeting of career educational program.
