Knowledge information of China which were partly distorted and idealized by missionaries influenced the shape of European's wrong perception of China while visual medium such as illustration, ceramics, wallpaper, Chinese export paintings provided them direct and correct knowledge information of China. Such a combined knowledge information formed European's vague stereotype of China and the very stereotype with their imagination shaped chinoiserie. Moreover, the change of European's perception of China influenced on chinoiserie which could be viewed as European's interpretation of China.
