Abstract

The rising demand for the quality of life and the health of people have led consumers to be interested in varied activities using forests. Based on this, the supporting policies for the sixth industrialization merged with secondary and tertiary industries are being pushed forward to achieve higher value-added forestry. However, even though the current government set forth the policy for the sixth industrialization as one of the national political agenda, critical public opinions have arisen on the effectiveness. With this status, the study aims to propose a business model of the sixth industrialization based on forestry reflecting people's changing lifestyle and their needs. The study first conducts the analysis of the current situation of the domestic sixth industry and forestry based sixth industry. Second, it delves into the users' lifestyle changes and needs, and the current situation of interior market. After that, the 'Healing Lifestyle Village(HLV)' project is proposed as a total service business model. Finally, its competitiveness is examined through the NABC analysis. It could be expected that the business model is of help to develop sustainable business models for the sixth industrialization.
