전통문양 패턴화를 응용한 주얼리디자인 Parts 연구 - 전통창살문양을 모티브로 -

Abstract

This study, with the premise on the policy concerns on the cultural contents industry by the government along with the possibility of the values of traditional cultural goods, focused on the development of applicable patterns in the jewelry design with the motif of Korean traditional window patterns in order to develop the cultural contents based on the traditional culture. First, this study, through a literature review, was carried to identify the aesthetic characteristics of the design elements based on the historical contemporary values, lines, and appearances of Korean traditional window. This result led to the extraction of 6 types of circular images of traditional lattice pattern, and, the application of the simplification method played the motif of the forms which became the basis of the patternization. Finally, the digital image was introduced as a substitute to be used industrially with the modulation of the patternized traditional window lattice image in order to be utilized in the jewelry design. It is hoped, in the future, that more active studies on the cultural contents industry will be carried out with Korean traditional culture in many fields, which will be a strong base for the developed country in the culture
