국민들의 여행 수요가 증가하고 패턴이 다양화됨에 따라 소비자의 선호에 부응하는 여행 상품 개발의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 제주도를 대상으로 다양화된 소비자들의 진술선호 자료를 분석하여 제주도 여행에 대한 속성별 소비자의 선호와 이에 근거한 속성별 잠재가격을 도출하고자 한다. 분석결과, 제주도 여행에 대한 잠재가격 추정치들은 통계적으로 유의하였으며, 소비자 선호와 관련한 몇 가지 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 예를 들어, 실제 가격과 달리 펜션이나 리조트에 대한 잠재가격이 관광호텔의 잠재가격보다 높았다. 이는 소비자들이 숙박시설 선택 시 관광호텔보다는 펜션이나 리조트 등 가족단위의 휴양시설을 선호함을 보여준다. 또한 계절에 따른 실제 여행비용의 차이가 크지 않지만, 계절에 따른 잠재가격의 차이는 존재하였다.
Abstract
As the demands of tourist become various, government and related companies need the policies or strategies fitting to tourists. For providing related information, this study attempts to analyze the individual preference and estimates shadow price namely, willingness to pay for Jeju tour. This study applies a contingent choice method to measuring marginal WTP for each attribute (lodge, tour duration, tour season, means of transport) of Jeju tour. This study contributes to complementing the valuation methods by estimating various attributes of Jeju tour and providing policy-makers with useful methodological framework and quantitative information in the decision-making process related to tour.
