Abstract

The study about gender consciousness and expression technique in humorous story about gender is significant to discuss that how the nobleman in 16th and 17th century recognized the gender between moral obligation and instinct and that how the recognition about gender transformed to the literatural presentation. Furthermore, the humorous stories about gender are expressed indicatively or metaphorically. In this stories, the extremely secretive but possible things in the sexual life between man and woman are disclosed by roundabout expression and the gender symbols of man and woman are exposed drastically. Most of the humorous stories about gender get the literary value by the discussion of gender symbolically and metaphorically.
