Abstract
The purpose of this study was to research the construction and appearance properties of 29 fashion fabrics in men's Hanbok.All the fabrics were made by 100% silk. No patterned solid color fabrics were 9 and patterned design fabrics were 20. Silk filament yarns were used for all fabrics. The construction of no patterned fabrics were simple plain weave and warp rib weave. The ground weave of patterned fabrics were plain, twill, satin, and jacquard. The patterned area were expressed by colored yarn, twill weave, warp and weft floating.Measured stiffness properties of fashion fabrics, for the most part, were relatively high, so the most fabrics were not flexible and soft. Since the most fabrics had low wrinkle resistance, it was hard to keep up good style for wearing. As compared to women's fabric, the mean value of wrinkle resistance was high and that of stiffness property was low.
