Bat Patterns in the Clothing and Ornaments that was expressed with weaving, gold foil, embroidery, accessories of Joseon Dynasty reflected the desire for happiness and the Five Blessings (longevity, wealth, health, love of virtue, peaceful death) became one of Korean native motifs. According to the composition of Bat Patterns in each category can be classified with single, paired, and grouped pattern look like unfinished form and contain natural beauty. The Single pattern was subdivided into three types (A-a, A-b, A-c), Paired pattern was two types(B-a, B-b), Grouped pattern was three types(C-a, C-b, C-c) according to the composition method which was with different pattern mixes and arrangement.
Abstract
