학교음악수업에서 대중음악의 영향과 적용방안 연구

오늘날 사회에서 대중음악은 사람들의 생활 속 깊이 자리하고 있다. 대중음악에 대한 관심은 특히 청소년들에게서 두드러지게 나타난다. 청소년문화에서 대중음악은 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 청소년들은 급격히 발달한 대중매체를 통하여 음악에 쉽게 노출되어있으며, 그들이 실생활에서 접하는 음악문화가 학교음악수업에 영향을 주고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에서 더 이상 학교음악교육은 대중음악의 필요성을 인식하지 않을 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 대중음악의 이론적 배경을 살펴보고, 청소년과 대중문화의 관계성을 통하여 학교음악수업에서 대중음악을 활용한 수업지도방안을 모색해 보았다. 대중음악에 대한 청소년들의 인식을 설문지를 통하여 조사한 결과, 어느 음악장르보다 압도적으로 대중가요를 가장 선호하며 대중음악은 청소년생활에서 꼭 필요한 음악이라고 답하였다. 또한 학교음악수업에서 대중음악의 교육을 많은 청소년들이 원하고 있다. 입시위주의 교육흐름 때문에 음악수업은 외적인 수단인 수행평가의 목적으로 치중되고 있다. 이로 인해 음악의 본질인 심미적 음악경험은 점차 사라져 가고, 학생들과의 음악적 공감대형성 조차도 어려운 실정이다. 즉, 대중음악은 학생의 음악적 관심을 유도하며 음악적 개념을 이해하는 데에 긍정적으로 생각해 볼만하다. 따라서 대중음악이 가지는 음악적 가치를 활용하여 학교음악수업에서 보다 흥미 있고, 다양한 음악적 경험과 풍성한 음악문화를 체험할 수 있도록 기회를 제공하여야 할 것이다. 또한 대중음악의 올바른 이해로 학교음악수업에 적극적인 도입을 통해 학생들의 음악적인 만족과 학교교육 목표의 큰 효과를 거둘 수 있도록 더욱 연구되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
Popular music is growing deeply inside today's every day lives. Especially, the interest in popular music is shown outstandingly among teenagers. Popular music takes a very important part in the teenage culture. Teenagers are easily exposed to popular music due to the rapidly grown mass medias. As they get along with the popular music it gives effect in the school music class. In these cases the school music education can not help indicate the need of popular music. The current research is based on the popular music's theoretical backgrounds. Also through the relationship between the teenagers and the popular culture searched for the teaching method by using popular music in school music class. By questioning about the popular music to the teenagers, popular music was chosen their favorite genre surpassingly higher than others and answered that music is invariably needed in their lives. Also they were willing to learn about the popular music in school music class. The education is based on entrance exam that music class is about examination grade which is external side of studying. There for the true meaning of music education which is essential experience in music is slowly vanishing. Even the musical sympathy between the student is hard to find. By using popular music can bring the student's interest in music and help understand the meaning of music there for it can be considerate affirming. There for by using the musical value that popular music has in class can make much more interest to the students. It can also help do various experience in music and have plentiful knowledge about music culture to the students. The induction of upright knowledge about popular music has to effect in class and for the student's satisfaction in school music class this study must continue.
