한국적 이미지를 활용한 아동복 디자인 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to suggest the new direction for research of design of children’s clothing and to develop the cultural contents utilizing Korean image, in order to make feel affection towards Korean traditional culture since young, via development of design of children’s clothing utilizing Korean image. For the method of research, we referred to the advanced research concerning design of children’s clothing utilizing Hanbok, traditional color and pattern of Korea, and designed it by surveying the current design of children’s clothing and reflecting the form of traditional clothes into design of children’s clothing modernly. In developing the design of children’s clothing utilizing Korean image, we applied Baenat Jeogoli, Duleong, Hanbok for male children. Dapho, Danlyeong, and Chokagbo, and designed ten pieces of children’s clothing for 7-8 ages, so produced it in real, in selecting the intrinsic and unique designs of seven pieces to have worthy of being developed as cultural goods, after applying motive as representative traditional clothes, considering color and material, and choosing item. For real works, they are total seven pieces; T-shirt and skirt for female children, jumper and pants for male children, two pieces of T-shirt, and one piece of dress for female children. We used and produced environmental materials, such as organic cotton, linen, and tencel, etc., natural materials, which have tender texture not to irritate human skin, suitable for free activity, and durable, and Korean color, for children’s clothing. By this study, it is expected that various designs of children’s clothing is developed constantly, to propose the new direction for study of design of children’s clothing utilizing Korean image and to serve as momentum to be developed into cultural goods of Korean trend fashion, further
