Abstract
Niya has been a major location for Xinjiang archeological work during the last decade. The cultural relics that have been discovered from these burials are quite distinct.Letter brocade of Niya tomb clarified that this remains of Xinjiang in China was an aristocratic relic of Han-Jin Dynasties. This letter brocade, whose embroidered letters mean, 'the five stars appeared in the east bring benefit to the Central Kingdom', was exclusively used for amity policy.Niya was an ancient Kingdom of Jingjue recorded in Chinese historial documents. The mummy found in tomb No.95MN1 was wearing a upper garment, a under wear, trousers and a long robe. By analyzing this costume material unearthed from Niya, with priority given to tomb No.95MN1, it could be conjectured that spinning industry was prosperous in those days, and that the commoners used woolen textiles, felt and leather, and the peerage used silk imported from China.Han Dynasty had affected the costume which was fastened to the left during the life time but after death adjusted to the right.Banbi is a half sleeved silk garment worn in 2~5th century's Noulan. It's collar is fastened to the right and has ruffle decoration at the end of the sleeves. The long sleeved garment, which is similar to the Korean jacket, seems to be a dance costume.
