The study analyzes several tight skirt patterns used at colleges or fashion institutes. It is important to find an appropriate tight-skirt pattern having good appearance and active function, and to present the fundamental database for the development of high skilled manpower in actual work as well as being used in an academic curriculum after compensating the defect of textbooks. Above all, five textbooks were chosen which used at colleges or fashion institutes. Then, one subject was selected and tried on tight skirts for evaluation who has a standard body by 'the survey of the fifth korean body sizes' of technical standard Institute, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. Moreover ten people, clothing majors, assessed decent fit of the experimental skirts. According to the consequence of evaluation, the best appearance is the pattern of W/4+1cm at front waist, W/4 at back waist and H/2 + 2cm at hip circumference, and the worst appearance is the pattern of W/4 at front & back waist and H/2 at hip circumference. The consequence of study could not common because the subject is one person. and could not apply various kinds of body types because the subject is one having standard body type. Therefore it regards to the following study of tight skirt patterns by various body types.
