청소년의 문화성향과 완벽주의 및 정서표현 양가성과의 관계

A study on the Perfectionism and Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness related to Adolescents' Cultural disposition

초록

본 연구에서는 문화성향과 완벽주의 성향 및 정서표현 양가성 성향과의 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 생활수준과 성별을 고려하여 선정한 서울 및 경기 지역 소재의 6개 고등학교 2학년생 566명을 대상으로 하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문화성향에 따른 완벽주의 성향의 차이를 알아보았다. 그 결과 자기중심 완벽주의는 개인중심성향과 정적 상관을 보이나 집단중심성향과는 부적 상관을 보였다. 그러나 타인중심 완벽주의는 문화성향간 차이를 보이지 않았다. 둘째, 문화성향에 따른 정서표현 양가성 성향의 차이를 알아보았다. 그 결과 자기방어적 양가성과 관계관여적 양가성 모두 개인중심성향과는 부적 상관을 보였고, 집단중심성향과는 정적 상관을 보였다. 셋째, 완벽주의 성향과 정서표현 양가성 성향과의 관계를 알아보았다. 그 결과 자기방어적 양가성은 자기중심 완벽주의와는 정적 상관을 보이나 타인중심 완벽주의와는 상관을 보이지 않았다. 또한 관계관여적 양가성은 자기중심 완벽주의와는 정적 상관을 보이고 타인중심 완벽주의와는 부적으로 깊은 상관을 보였다. 넷째, 문화성향 및 정서표현 양가성과 자기중심 완벽주의 수준의 관계를 살펴본 결과 문화성향과 정서표현 양가성의 관계에서 자기중심 완벽주의 수준은 매개역할을 하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study reviewed the relation among adolescent's cultural disposition and perfectionism and ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness. Given the family income level and gender, the study selected 566 second grade students in 6 high schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi province and conducted survey research. The results of this study include the followings. First, the study identified the difference in perfectionism tendency according to cultural disposition. As a result, Self-oriented perfectionism level had a positive relationship with self-centered disposition, whereas it had a negative relationship with group-oriented disposition. Meanwhile, Other-oriented perfectionism level had no difference according to cultural disposition. Second, as a result of veryfying the difference in ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness tendency according to cultural disposition, Self-defensive ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness and Relationship-concerned ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness had a negative relationship with self-centered disposition, whereas they had a positive relationship with group-oriented disposition. Third, as a result of looking at the relationship perfectionism tendency and ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness tendency, Self-defensive ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness had a positive relationship with Self-oriented perfectionism, whereas it had no relationship with Other-oriented perfectionism. Meanwhile, Relationship-concerned ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness had a positive relationship with Self-oriented perfectionism, whereas it had a negative relationship with Other-oriented perfectionism. Finally, as a result of reviewing the relationship between cultural disposition, ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness and Self-oriented perfectionism, Self-oriented perfectionism was found to play no role of a medium between cultural disposition and ambivalence over emotional Expressiveness.
