그룹홈 청소년의 자립의지에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

본 연구는 청소년들의 자립의지 정도와 이에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인가를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 한국아동청소년그룹홈협의회에 소속된 단체 중 서울·경기 그룹홈 총 35개 시설에 입소해 있는 청소년 102명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 자료 분석을 하였다. 자료 분석은 빈도분석, T-test, ANOVA, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 분석결과를 정리하면 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 첫째 조사대상자들의 개인적 요인들과 자립의지에 관계를 살펴보면, 진학의지와 입소기간만이 자립의지에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 개인적 요인에서 학력수준과 진학의지가 자립의지 하위요인인 근로의욕에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 조사대상자들의 가족적 요인과 자립의지의 관계를 보면, 가족적 요인이 자립의지에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 자립의지 하위변수인 자아통제에 가족적 요인 중 어머니 유무와 거주형태가 미치는 영향력은 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째 조사대상자들의 경제적 요인과 자립의지의 관계는 유의미 하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 자립의지 하위변수인 자신감에 경제적 요인인 자립정보가 영향이 있다는 것을 살펴볼 수 있다. 넷째 조사대상자들의 사회적 지지가 자립의지에 미치는 영향은 사회적 지지 하위요인인 정보적 지지만 유의미하게 나타났다. 또한, 자립의지 하위요인인 자아통제에 정서적 지지만이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 그룹홈이 자립을 목적으로 생활함에 있어 청소년 자립의지 향상에 적합한 시설의 형태로 인정되며, 학력수준, 진학의지, 자립정보, 사회적지지 등이 자립의지 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the level of the independence willingness among youths in group homes in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas and its affecting factors. The study conducted survey research targeting 102 youths living in a total of 35 group home facilities in the Seoul/Gyeonggi areas, from among groups belonging to the Korean Council of Group Homes for Children and Youth, and analyzed the data. Concerning the data analysis, the study performed a frequency analysis, a t-test, ANOVA, a correlational analysis, and a multiple regression analysis. The main analyzed results from the study may be summarized as follows. First, when looking into the relationship between individual factors in the research targets and their independence willingness, only will to go on to school and the period of residence in a group home had a significant effect on the independence willingness. Also, among individual factors, educational background and will to go on to school were shown to affect the motivation for labor, a sub-factor of the independence willingness. Second, when considering the relationship between the family factors of the research targets and their will for the independence willingness, the influence of family factors on the independence willingness did not appear to be statistically significant. However, the influence of the existence of a mother and a residential type out of the family factors affecting self-control, a sub-variable of the independence willingness was found to be significant. Third, the relationship between economic factors of the research targets and the independence willingness was shown not to be significant. However, it may be seen that independence information, an economic factor is influential on self-confidence, a sub-variable of the independence willingness. Fourth, as regards the influence of the social support of the research targets on their independence, only informational support, a sub-factor of social support was presented as being significant. Also, only emotional support was found to affect self-control, a sub-factor of the independence willingness. The results of this research show in the living of youths who need care and aim to be independent, level of education, will to go on to school, independence information and the social support a group home is found to be an appropriate type of facility for improving their the independence willingness.
