사이코드라마에서 ‘잔혹성’ 연구 - 앙또넹 아르또의 ‘잔혹성(cruauteˊ )’ 이론을 중심으로 -

사이코드라마에서 잔혹성은 광기, 살해, 공격성 등, 우리가 경험한 과거의 두려움을 재경험하도록 하기 때문에, 주인공과 관객, 디렉터 모두에게 잉여현실을 실연할 때 강한 저항의 원인이된다. 아르또에 따르면 잔혹성이야말로 문명과 문화에 길들여진 로봇증에서 벗어날 수 있는 야성, 자연에 속한 것으로 정신적 심리적 탄력성을 회복하는 생명력의 원천이 되는 것이다. 사이코드라마에서 역시 잔혹성은 통찰과 통합에 이르고, 근본으로 돌아가 생기를 회복하게 하는 아주 중요한 요소이다. 사이코드라마에서의 잔혹성은 우리가 그림자라고 생각했던 그것의 ‘순수’, 진실의 한 면을 있는 그대로 보여주고 보고 만남으로써, 지금 여기의 삶을 긍정하게 한다. 사이코드라마라는 지나가는 무상한 시간들 속에 순간의 축복과 즐거움과 손을 잡고 춤을 추며 난장을 벌이는 것이다. 사이코드라마에서 잔혹성의 의미는 첫째, 어떤 사람도 다치지 않는 안전한 놀이 공간에서 욕망-잉여현실을 드러내고 실현하게 해준다. 둘째, 잔혹성의 발현은 죽이고 파괴하며 새롭게 창조하는 신성의 영역을 우리 안으로 불러들여 원초적 생기를 복원하도록 한다. 셋째, 잔혹성은 정신의 순수한 극단을 표현하게 함으로써, 문화적 금기에 갇혀 있는 의식을 해방시켜준다. 넷째, 무대의 파동은 집단신명이 되고 집단에게 의식과 삶의 새로운 지평을 열어준다. 다섯째, 사이코드라마의 잔혹 행위는 통과의례로서 정화와 통찰을 가져다준다. 여섯째, 창조적 예술로서 원초적 본능의 미학적 성취를 경험하게 한다. 잔혹성에 대해 명확히 알고 우리 자신의 두려움을 내려놓는다면 사이코드라마에 대한 오해와 편견은 사라지고 더 안전하고 신명나는 드라마가 될 것이다.
Abstract
Purpose：The purpose of this study is to identify the meaning of ‘cruauté’ in the psychodrama. Method：This study has researched mainly on documents. Results：The significance of ‘cruauté’ in psychodrama is: firstly, realizing desire and surplus reality in a safe playing area, secondly, restoring primal energy and divinity, thirdly, emancipating consciousness from cultural boundaries, fourthly, transmitting the dynamics of a stage and providing new perspectives on consciousness and life to the group, fifthly, yielding purification and insight as a rite of passage, lastly, experiencing aesthetic fulfillment of basic instinct as a creative art. Conclusion：In psychodrama, ‘cruauté’ is not to be feared but to show, see, and contact the ‘innocence’ of mind, one aspect of genuine self, as it is, and thus, helps to accept the here and now. Accurately understanding ‘cruauté’ and overcoming the fears, misconception and prejudice of psychodrama will be long gone and the drama may get safer and more exciting.
