이 연구의 목적은 2007년 개정 초등학교 실과 교육과정의 ‘기술의 세계’영역의 교육 내용을 상세화하는 데 있었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 선행 연구 및 관련 문헌을 기초로 하여 자료를 수집, 분석, 종합하여 교육 내용 해설(안)을 개발하였으며 개발한 내용 해설(안)에 대하여 관련 전문가 집단의 평가와 연구진 협의회를 거쳐 내용 해설(안)을 수정하여 최종안을 도출하였다. 연구자는 2007년 개정 초등학교 실과 교육과정의 ‘기술의 세계’ 대영역을 크게 농업과 생명기술, 제조 기술과 발명, 정보 통신 기술, 진로 지도의 네 가지 중영역의 계열성을 전제로 교육 내용 해설(안)을 구안하였다. 도출된 최종안의 내용 해설 구조는 ① 중영역 교육과정 제시, ② 중영역 설정의 취지 설명, ③ 중영역의 내용 구조, ④ 소영역 설정의 취지와 내용 상세화로 구성하였다. 차기 교육과정은 교육과정의 개정 과정에서 현행의 중영역명과 소영역 내용을 제시하는 추상적인 수준의 교육과정에서 중영역 설정의 취지와 소영역 설정의 취지 및 내용 상세화가 포함된 좀 더 구체적인 교육과정이 제시될 필요가 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to interpretate 'The World of Technology' in 2007 revision elementary school Practical Arts curriculum. The methods of this study were literature review and evaluation of practical arts experts. Main findings of this study were as follows: First, Content interpretation of 'The World of Technology' consist of ① agriculture and bio-technology, ② manufacturing technology and invention, ③ information and communication technology, and ④ career guidance. Second, Agriculture is 'the raising of crops and animals for food, feed, fiber, fuel, or other useful products'. Biotechnology is 'any technique that uses living organisms, or parts of organisms, to make or modify products, improve plants or animals, or to develop microorganisms for specific uses'. Manufacturing technology and invention is 'a technology or group of systems used in the manufacturing process to make products for an end user'. Invention si 'A new product, system, or process that has never existed before, created by study and experimentation'. Information and communication technology is 'a system that forms a link between a sender and a receiver, making possible the exchange of information'. Career guidance is 'career aware and planning'.
