집단미술치료가 스마트폰 중독 아동의 만족지연에 미치는 효과

본 연구의 목적은 스마트폰 중독아동의 만족지연을 위한 집단미술치료 프로그램을 구성하여 이를 스마트폰 중독아동에게 제공하고 그 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 프로그램은 만족지연이론 및 관련 변인 분석과 아동의 스마트폰 중독에 관한 선행연구를 고찰하여 구성하였으며, 전문가 집단에게 프로그램 내용 타당도를 검증받았다. 연구집단은 G광역시 지역아동센터의 스마트폰을 소지하고 있고, 스마트폰 중독 자가진단 척도에서 스마트폰 중독군에 해당하는 고위험과 잠재적 위험 점수에 상응하는 아동 30명(실험집단 15명, 대기집단 15명)을 대상으로 하였다. 본 프로그램은 2016년 7월 20일부터 2016년 8월 26일 까지 총 12회기 실시하였으며, 프로그램 효과검증을 위해 만족지연능력 평정 척도와 자기통제력 척도, 청소년 스마트폰 중독 자가진단 척도를 사용하였다. 연구결과 만족지연능력 검사와 자기통제력 검사, 청소년 스마트폰 중독 자가진단 척도에서 집단 간 사전·사후 검사결과의 차이가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 스마트폰 중독 아동의 만족지연을 위한 집단미술치료 프로그램을 스마트폰 중독 아동에게 제공하였을 때 만족지연능력 증가와 스마트폰 중독 수준 감소에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 만족지연이론과 관련변인을 근거 구성된 집단미술치료 프로그램을 스마트폰 중독 아동에게 지속적으로 제공한다면 아동 스스로 스마트폰 사용 충동을 지연하고 무계획적 사용을 감소시키며, 스마트폰에 의존하거나 집착하지 않을 수 있는 자기관리능력이 향상될 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop a group art therapy program for the delay of gratification of children who are addicted to smartphones, and also to test the effectiveness of the program. The research was focused on developing a group art therapy based on an analysis of factors causing children’s addiction to smartphones, the delay of gratification theory and other related variables in order to develop a group art therapy program for the delay of gratification. Then the result of the preliminary program was evaluated and analyzed for amendment with the advices of a professional group which verified the content validity of the program. The research group was composed of an experimental group and a comparison group, each with 15 children who had a smartphone and who scored high in high risk and potential risk scores of smartphone addiction in a community child center located in G metropolitan city. The total duration of the program was twelve weeks which was carried out with the experimental group twice per week for six weeks to test the effectiveness of the program, and the major results obtained are as follows. From these results, a conclusion can be drawn that when the group art therapy program for the delay of gratification is provided to children addicted to smartphones, it showed effectiveness on increasing the delay of gratification ability and reducing the level of smartphone addiction. The results also show that the group art therapy program was developed with the objectives of increasing the delay of gratification ability and reducing the level of smartphone addiction. Therefore, it is expected that the group art therapy program developed in the research may contribute to bring positive effects on increasing the delay of gratification ability and reducing the level of smartphone addiction if the program is consistently provided to children addicted to smartphones.
