진로결정 자기효능감과 사회적 지지의 관계에 대한 메타분석

초록

본 연구는 진로결정 자기효능감과 사회적 지지의 관계를 종합하기 위해 메타분석을 실시하여, 사회적 지지의 하위 유형에 따라 두 변인의 관련성이 차이가 있는지 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2018년 12월까지 국내에서 출판된 연구 59편을 수집하여 진로결정 자기효능감과 사회적 지지의 상관을 바탕으로 효과크기(Hedges’g)를 추정한 결과, 총효과크기는 .744로 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구에 포함된 논문의 출판편향을 확인한 결과 심각한 문제는 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 연구특성 변수들(출판연도, 출판유형, 표본수, 성비, 연령대)에 따라 효과크기가 이질적인지를 확인하기 위해 메타 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 부모지지와 진로결정 자기효능감의 효과크기에서 연령대(청소년, 대학생)가 유의한 조절변인임을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 메타분석을 통해 진로결정 자기효능감과 사회적 지지의 관계에 대한 연구를 종합함으로써, 사회적 지지의 유형에 따른 차이점을 확인하고 실질적인 제언을 했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to perform meta-analysis in order to synthesize the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy and social support and to examine differences in the relationship between the two variables depending on the sub-factor of social support. To carry out this research, effect sizes (Hedges’s g) were estimated based on the correlation of career decision-making self-efficacy and social support from 59 studies published in South Korea till December 2018 and showed significant effect sizes above .744. To find heterogeneity of effect sizes, meta-regression was conducted using moderators such as study characteristics (i.e., publication year, publication type, sample size, gender ratio, school level). It was verified that school level (adolescents, college students) was a significant moderator for effect sizes of the career decision-making self-efficacy and social support (parents, teachers, friends). This study provided a practical suggestion in terms of intervention by identifying the deferences depending on source of social support.
