초등 교원양성대학교 실과 심화교육과정 운영 실태 분석

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the conditions of specialized courses in practical arts for pre-service teacher education and propose the operation plans. To achieve the purpose of this study conducted: 1) to compare the overall specialized courses in practical arts for pre-service teacher education and 2) to compare the conditions of the specialized courses after dividing them by academic field. The research targeted the overall specialized courses in practical arts departments of 10 nationwide universities of education, teachers college of Jeju University, and the elementary education department of Korea National University of Education. For data analysis, the academic fields were primarily categorized into subject matter education and subject contents knowledge, and secondarily into home economics, technology studies and agricultural science studies on subject contents knowledge. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, according to the comparison and analysis of the overall specialized courses by university, there was an imbalance in the number of courses between the subject matter education and subject contents knowledge, and a difference between the number of courses or credits. Second, according to the comparison between the academic fields, the number of the courses in curricular studies was 1-3 by university but not a single course was opened in university C and F. The prerequisite courses in curricular studies have not been opened in balance. According to the analysis on instructional studies, a total of 54 courses were opened in home economics and 19 courses were opened in dietary life studies, which was the highest number of courses. 47 courses were opened in technology studies and 20 courses were opened in invention/carpentry, which was the highest figure. Although a total of 29 courses were opened in agricultural science, most of them were about cultivation and only 4 courses were about culture.
