This thesis study on the purposeful sex written by female writers in Korea and China. There is not only comparable similarity but also differences in different culture backgrounds between the two kinds of purposeful sex. Thus, the thesis should concentrate on both similarity and differences, especially the different culture background and national character. Because different native literature shows different cultural tradition. This thesis research into female rebellion thoroughly.Although there were not many examples of rebellious behavior in those stories, they rebel against the sexual oppression in a special way. It was found in Korea that in order to rebel or escape, married women chose to find other men while the unmarried chose to be wanton, but this was not found in China. From this we can conclude that women in Korea still suffered great sexual oppression.
Abstract
