본 연구에서는 탐구공동체모형(Community of Inquiry) 가운데 사회적 실재감(social presence)의 의미를 고찰하고, 한국어 교사 FGI를 통하여 온라인 한국어 교수·학습 환경에서 사회적 실재감을 구현하기 위하여 교사가 어떠한 전략적 행동을 취하는지를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 사회적 실재감은 진정한 의미의 교육 경험을 실현하기 위한 세 가지 실재감 중의 하나이고 장기화되는 온라인 수업 상황에서 매우 중요하게 다루어져야 할 요소지만 교사가 간과하기 쉬운 측면도 있다. 이 연구를 통해 온라인 교육에서의 문제점에 대처하기 위하여 노력해 온 교사들의 목소리 자체가 일차적으로 한국어 교육 현장에 적용될 수 있는 노하우가 되기를 바란다. 더 나아가 실시간 온라인 한국어 수업에서 도출된 여러 문제점들을 교사 교육의 측면에서 고려하여, 이를 해결하기 위한 기술적 지원, 교수법 소개 등의 많은 방안이 보다 적극적으로 논의되기를 바란다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the meaning of social presence among the community of inquiry model, and what strategic actions instructors take to realize social presence in synchronized online Korean teaching and learning environments through FGI (Focus Group Interview) with Korean language teachers. Social presence is one of three presences to realize a genuine educational experience, and is a very important factor to be dealt with in a prolonged online class situation, yet there are also aspects that teachers can easily overlook. Through this study, it is expected that through the voices of teachers, of who have been striving to address the problems in online education, will lead the know-how that can be applied in the Korean language education field. Furthermore, considering the various problems derived from synchronized online Korean language classes in terms of teacher education, it is expected that many measures such as technical support and introduction of teaching methods, can be more actively discussed.
