The purpose of this study is to analyse the background of the historic formation and the process ofchanges of Koreatown in Osaka area. The research method of this study is analyzing the data andvarious informations collected from literature review, field survey of Koreatown and interview etc. The findings of this study are as follows: First, population composition of Koreatown appears high from Kyongsang Province, Jeju-do, Jeollaregion order, but global era gradually diversify. Second, the trend of Koreatown is that according to historic formation background the change oftreatment of merchandise and category of business was clear and the latest Hallyu shop is increasing. Third, a lot of changes were occurring in Koreatown by internal conflict, generation change of agingsociety, discontinuance of business increase, newcomer's advance etc. Fourth, spatial extension andextension of culture territory by Hallyu influence were very clear in Koreatown. In conclusion, the findings of the study suggest that are repeated company's creation and extinction,re-territorialization and de-territorialization, settlement and conflict, Koreatown and identity of the Chosunmarket was vague in the past. These study finding is showing that plan and measuring instrument ofKoreatown can recovers the culture identity of the Chosun market and can dispatch of Korean cultureshould be prepared.
