Analysis on Themes of the Contributed Theses for 『The Journal of Japanese Language and Literature』(1993-2013)

This study systematically investigates and analyzes the subject of the entire 1156 research papers which were published in an academic journal The Journal of Japanese Language and Literature related to Japanese Language and Literature as well as Japanology for 21 years from 1993 to 2013. In conclusion, the papers related to Japanese literature comprises 31.4% (total 363 papers), the papers related to Japanese language comprises 31,3% (total 362 papers), the papers related to Japanology related papers comprises 22.1% (total 255 papers), the papers related to Japanese Education comprises 15.2% (total 176 papers), and the papers related to Japanese Language and Literature comprises 62.7% (total 725 papers), which shows the largest numbers in the entire papers. It has been told that the number of papers on Japanology and Japanese Education was relatively small. As mentioned above, in terms of the specific results of the subject analysis for each of the sectoral data, please refer to the conclusion.
