바이츠만 이론에 의한 리스트의 <회색 구름> 분석

19세기 후반 활동했던 프란츠 리스트와 칼 프리드리히 바이츠만은 동시대의 작곡가와 이론가의 관계이다. 특히, 바이츠만의 1853년 논저는 증3화음에 대한 작품과 이론으로 서로 영향을 주고받은 관계로 잘 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 바이츠만의 이론에 대한 내용이 리스트 음악에서 어떻게 드러나는지를 연구하였다. 먼저 1853년 바이츠만의 논저에 대해 간단히 요약·정리하고, 논저가 출판되기 이전과 이후의 리스트의 작품 경향은 어떠했는지 고찰해 보았다. 그리고 마지막으로 바이츠만 논저의 이론을 토대로 리스트의 후기 작품 ＜회색 구름＞을 분석해 보았다.
Abstract
In late Nineteenth-century, Franz Liszt and Carl Friedrich Weitzmann are contemporary composer and music theorist. In particular, Weitzmann’s treatise that published in 1853 influenced by the Liszt’s work appeared in augmented triad. And Weitzmann’s treatise had an actual effect on Liszt later. In this paper, I studied how Weitzmann’s theory was applied in Liszt’s practical works. This study progresses as follow as three stages. First, I make a summary of Weitzmann’s treatise that published in 1853. Second, I inquired into what a Liszt’s works tendency is, at that time of before and after that Weitzmann’s treatise was published. At last, I analysis of Nuages Gris, composed in 1881 by Liszt, on the basis of Weitzmann’s concept.
