지속가능한 촌락에 대한 고찰 : 충남 홍성 문당리를 사례로

급속한 산업화와 도시화로 인한 생태계와 안정적인 정주지에 대한 위기의식은 그동안 가시적이고 효율성을 강조한 경제 발전모델에서 생태주의적 모델로의 전환을 가져왔다. 특히 정주지의 위기는 도시보다는 농촌과 관련이 더 깊으며 그 위기는 다양한 양상으로 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 당면한 농촌문제를 해결할 수 있는 지속가능한 촌락에 대한 이론적 접근을 통해 이를 생태적 지속성, 경제적 지속성, 사회적 지속성이 유기적으로 상호작용하며 이상적으로 균형을 이루고 있는 마을이라고 정의하였다. 또한 그 대표 지역으로 충청남도 홍성군 홍동면 문당리 마을을 사례 연구를 하였다. 문당리 마을은 주민들의 자발적 노력으로 오리 농법 및 유기농업을 통해 농업의 가치를 높이고 새로운 유통망을 개척하여 경제적으로도 여유를 확보했을 뿐만 아니라, 생태 친환경적인 일상적인 삶과 전통적인 촌락 공동체를 회복한 마을로 대표적인 지속가능한 촌락이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 연구를 통해 농촌의 정주지로서의 기능을 회복하는 방안을 모색하고 촌락지리학의 지평을 넓히고자 하였다.
Abstract
Due to rapid industrialization and urbanization, the crisis for ecosystems and stable settlement proceeded that the ecological model has changed the economic model. The settlement of the crisis is closely related to the rural areas than urban, and has appeared on various aspects. In this study, the sustainable rural village was theoretically clean to solve problems facing the rural villages and it was defined as the ecological sustainability , economic sustainability, social sustainability are doing organic interaction and the ideal balance in the village. Mundaing-ri, located south from hongsung county in the south C oongchong province was a case study. Mundang-ri village residents’ voluntary efforts by the duck farming and organic agriculture raised the value of agricultural and pioneered a new distribution is obtained free of economic life. Eco-friendly everyday life and the village community recovered are said to be a sustainable village. Through these studies, rural areas as a function of the settlement is seeking to recover and the scope of rural geography will be broaden.
