토지의 지목현황 자료를 이용하여 천안시 토지이용의 변화특성을 시공간적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 천안시 토지이용 변화의 특성은 3가지로 요약할 수 있다.첫째는 비도시적 토지이용이 되는 농지(farmland)와 임야(woodland)의 면적은 지속적으로 감소하는 반면, 대지(ground), 상업용지(business category), 공공용지(public category) 등 도시적 토지이용은 증가하고 있다. 이와 같은 양상은 1990년대 말을 기점으로 두드러지게 나타나고, 읍지역(town)과 동지역(dong)에서 두드러지게 나타난다.둘째, 1970년대 이후, 읍, 면(township), 동지역 모두에서 임야 면적의 감소는 미약한 반면, 농지 면적의 감소가 두드러지다. 이는 도시화(urbanization)와 산업화(industrialization)에 따라서 급속히 증가하는 도시적 토지이용의 수요를 농지로 충당하기 때문으로 해석된다. 셋째는 도시적 토지이용의 증가를 주도하는 것은 대지와 공공용지의 증가이다. 이는 최근 천안시가 수도권(metropolitan area) 분산 정책에 따른 반사이익(interest of reflection)과 경부고속철도(KTX)의 개통(opening to traffic) 등으로 인구와 사업체의 유입이 활발함으로 이를 수용하기 위한 택지와 도로, 학교 등 공공시설 등의 수요가 증가하기 때문이다.
Abstract
A temporal-spacial analysis is performed for the changing characteristics of cheonan city land usage based on the current status of land category data. As a results, changing characteristics can be summarized as follows.First, the area for the farmland and woodland which are used for nonmetropolitan land use is continuously decreased, while the metropolitan land use such as ground, business category, public category is increasing. Such phenomenon can be seen from the of 1990?s especially in town and dong region. Second, after 1970?s, while the reduction of woodland area is slight, but reduction of farmland area is remarkable in township, town, and dong. It is interpreted that farmland area is used to meet the rapidly increasing demand for the urbanization and industrialization. Third, the leading demand of metropolitan land use is the increasement of the ground and public category. Recently, the influx of population and business is active due to KTX opening to traffic and interest of reflection according to the metropolitan area decentralization policy. Therefore, Cheonan city tried to expropriate land for the increasing demand for housing lot, road, school, and public facility.
