This study focused on interpreting many types of silent sounds in dance. In this study, it defines ‘Silence Sound’ as the sound that focuses on the movements, and the sound that is less than 40dB which makes dancers speak audibly. It includes no-music, low-noise digital sound, contemporary analog sound, and traditional music from the oriental and western areas. The ‘Silence Sound’ also includes movements in the dance. ‘Silence Sound’ has physical functions such as immersion, concentration, scene description, suggestion, and the ability to increase the efficiency of dialogue transmission. It also has various forms of emotional functions namely lyrical musical instrument tones, lyrical stories, tranquil oriental culture, and dramatic energy. This study proposes the possibility of movement as a ‘Silence Sound’ and sound as ‘Visual Arts’. This proposal of possibilities could open the way to new arts creation. Further research studies on the various directions of dance music will serve as a foundation for the creation of new arts.
