국내에서 에코뮤지엄을 적용해 농촌경제 활성화 방안에 대한 관광개발과 연계한 연구는 극히 드물다. 국가중요농업유산은 주민이 지역의 문화유산의 중요성을 학습하고, 유산해설가로 참여시킴으로써 지역유산을 보전하고, 이를 통해 관광활동을 촉진시킴으로써 지역경제를 활성화시키기 위한 개념으로 에코뮤지엄의 개발에 적합한 제도라는 고려하에, 완주군의 생강 전통농업시스템 국가중요농업유산을 기반으로 한 에코뮤지엄의 개발 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 시사점으로, 완주 생강 전통농업시스템은 국가중요농업유산으로 등재됨에 따라 농업유산자원 관리 및 보전의 안정성이 보장될 수 있다. 따라서 에코뮤지엄을 적용한 지역개발 방향을 전개한다면 지역사회는 농업문화유산과관련된 다양한 자원을 이용할 수 있는 참여기회를 가지는 동시에 이용을 통제할 수 있기 때문에 관광활성화도 기대되며, 지역 사회의 삶의 질 향상에 크게 기여할 것이다.
Abstract
Very few studies have been conducted in connection with tourism development on ways to activate the rural economy by applying ecomuseums in Korea. Nationally Important Agricultural Heritage(NIAH) can help preserve local heritage and promote tourism by allowing residents to learn the importance of local cultural heritage and to engage residents as heritage interpreters. Therefore, Considering that it is a system suitable for the development of ecomuseum as a concept to activate the local economy, this paper suggests the possibility of developing an ecomuseum based on NIAH, the ginger traditional agricultural system of Wanju-gun. As implications, the Wanju Ginger traditional agricultural system is listed as a NIAH, so the stability of agricultural heritage resource management and conservation can be guaranteed. Therefore, if the ecomuseum develops regional development direction, the local community will have and use a chance various resources related to agricultural cultural heritage. It is also expected to stimulate tourism and contribute greatly to improving the quality of life of the community.
