『明齋遺稿』에 나타난 亡者재현 양상 연구 — 명재의 생애와의 관련성을 중심으로 —

Abstract

This research tries to highlight Myungje's descriptive attitude, his position on death and life, his evaluation and characteristics in reenactment on the decedent, through the study of the decedent related proses in Myungje Yougo. This research is not to highlight that Myungje is exceptional or special in terms of his era, but to review how Myungje's life as a leader of Soron, and his experience and conflict as one of the providers of cause of the split of Noron and Soron influenced his evaluation on the decedent, and what factors he focused on. Since the decisive motivation of Myungje's renouncement from his teacher, Song Siyeul, was related to Song Siyeul's funeral oraton on Myungje's father. Myungje put more prudence into the description of the decedent's life. The relationship between a describer and a decedent, the belief on the personalities of the decedent and service requester, and decedent's objective life activities and Myungje's subjective evaluation were proportionally described in the most of Myungje's decedent related records. Through this research, we can find out the 3 following characteristics in the reenactment of decedents from Myungje Yougo, focusing on Myungje's life and his evaluation on the decedent. These are at first the pitiful family history and the issue of doing filial duty, secondly, the direction to the practical affairs and the duty of a governor, thirdly, the life of discipliner and a independent decision maker in advance and retreat. Myungje in the center of political strife strictly controlled himself. His experience in strictly this controlled life was corresponded to his evalution on the decedent's life. Finally the decedent related proses in Myungje Yougo mostly followed the normal rule in a epitaph but also frequently used the anecdotes and direct quotation in the expression on the decedent's characteristics. These methods were more used in highlighting the exemplary characteristics in the decedent's life activities.
