본 연구의 목적은 사회인지이론에 입각하여 개발된 Boardley와 Kavussanu(2007)의 스포츠 도덕적 이탈 척도가 우리나라 스포츠 선수들에게도 타당하고 신뢰롭게 적용될 수 있는지 여부를 검증하였다. 연구 1에서는 단체종목(축구, 럭비, 농구)을 대상으로, 연구 2에서는 개인종목(태권도)을 대상으로 하여 척도의 타당화 검증을 실시한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 도덕적 이탈에 대해 일련의 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인 분석을 실시한 결과 도덕적 이탈은 4개의 고차요인(인지 재구조화, 책임 축소화, 부정적 결과왜곡, 비인간화)으로 구성된 모형이 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 도덕적 이탈 하위 요인은 모두 상대방과 팀 동료에 대한 반사회적 행동, 그리고 통제적 동기와 정(+)의 상관을 보였고, 자율적 동기와는 부(-)의 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 도덕적 이탈 수준은 럭비 종목의 선수가 축구와 농구 종목의 선수들보다 높은 것으로 나타났고, 경력에 따른 차이는 7년 이상 11년 이하의 선수가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to verify whether the moral disengagement scale of Boardley and Kavussanu(2007), developed based on social cognition theories, can be used in Korean sports situations. In Study 1, the validation of the scale was tested on the team sports(soccer, rugby, basketball) and the individual sport(Taekwondo) in Study 2. The results were as follows. First, a series of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis on different moral disengagement models, 4 higher-order factor structure of moral disengagement(cognitive restructuring, minimizing responsibility for action, distortion of negative consequence, dehumanization) confirmed by best fitted model on the data. Secondly, all moral disengagement sub-factors were positively correlated with antisocial behavior toward the teammate/opponent, and controlled motivation, but were negatively correlated with autonomous motivation. Third, the moral disengagement level was shown that the rugby player was higher than the football and basketball player, and the difference according to career was the highest among the athletes of 7 to 11 years.
