뇌진탕관련 안전교육이 시합 중 발생된 뇌진탕의심 선수들의 경기포기에 관한 태권도 지도자의 의사결정에 관한 차이검증

본 연구의 목적은 태권도관련 뇌진탕에 대한 기초지식과 이에 대한 안전교육을 실시하고, 안전교육이 가상-경기 중 뇌진탕 증상과 증후를 보이는 선수들의 경기지속 여부에 관한 지도자들의 의사결정에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대한 분석을 하여, 향후 지도자들을 대상으로 안전교육의 필요성을 인식시키고 안전교육과정 수료 의무화 추진과 프로그램의 자료를 만드는데 기초자료로 활용하는데 있다. 총 59명의 지도자가 참여하였고, 교육 전과 후를 비교하는 연구 설계이다. 자료수집에는 check-off식의 두 가지 형태의 질문지를 사용하였다. 통계학적 검증을 위해 paired-t test를 활용하였다. 안전교육 후 태권도관련 뇌진탕 지식점수는 13.6에서 17.8(20점 만점기준)로 향상되었고, 이 결과는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p=.00). 또한 가상-시합 중 뇌진탕을 경험한 선수에 대한 경기지속여부에 대한 지도자 의사결정은 16.3에서 11.1로 감소하는 긍정적인 결과(즉, 경기중단을 고려함)를 나타냈다. 이 또한 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p=.00). 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 태권도관련 뇌진탕 안전교육은 지도자들의 뇌진탕 지식향상과 선수들의 안전과 관련하여 뇌진탕 경험 선수들의 경기중단 결정에 긍정적 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 겨루기 태권도관련 잠재적으로 발생될 수 있는 심각한 뇌손상의 예방을 위하여 앞으로 태권도 지도자들을 위한 안전교육 프로그램이 정기적이며 필수적으로 실시되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.
Abstract
To investigate the effects of safety education on taekwondo-related concussion on coaches’ decision making about concussed athletes’ withdrawal from remaining matches. A pre and post-test design was used. A total of 59 coaches participated in this study. Data were collected with two simple check-off forms before and after the safety education. The questionnaires and the intervention were administered at coaches’ meeting. To compare pre and post the safety education on coaches’ decision making regarding concussed athletes' withdrawal from remaining matches, paired t-test was performed. After the safety education, the mean scores of understanding taekwondo-related concussion were improved from 13.6 to 17.8 out of 20 and the outcome of coaches’ decision making showed positive effects from 16.3 to 11.1. Also, there were significant differences between the mean score of understanding taekwondo-related concussion and the coaches’ decision making (p=.00). The intervention of safety education showed positive effects on both the understanding of taekwondo-related concussion and coaches’ decision making on concussed athletes’ withdrawal from remaining matches. To prevent potential serious outcomes in competition taekwondo, continuing safety education programme on taekwondo-related concussion is recommended to taekwondo coaches, athletes, referees, and parents.
