After random selection of students, The Elementary Reading Attitude Survey (ERAS) was administered: The survey is purported to measure attitude toward recreational and academic reading. Findings show that boys scored higher points than girls on the recreational reading attitude measure, thereby implying that boys’ attitude towards recreational reading was in general better than the girls in preschool years.
