초록

The study aimed to explore the use of technology by Myanmar refugee families to support their children. Thirty families participated in a 45-to-60-minute survey, which included demographic information, technology types, and their use of technology. Level 1 analysis used in vivo and sub-coding to organize and index the answers for each survey question. Next, the researchers employed theming the data using means to analyze each question further and wrote question summaries. Finally, researchers engaged in code weaving by triangulating the technology questions, demographic data, and literature to understand what technology Myanmar refugee families used and how they used technology with their children. Findings showed that all but one family used technology for educational purposes and were supervised by their parents or other adults, indicating cultural capital around technology.
