연구는 국제 바칼로레아의 중학교(IB MYP) 음악 교육과정의 특징을 분석하여 시사점을 제시하는데 그목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 국제 바칼로레아 조직(IBO)이 제공하는 공식 문서들과 중학교 음악교과서를 분석하였다. IB MYP 과정의 음악 교육과정 특징은 첫째, 빅 아이디어 성격의 개념 중심 교육과정으로 핵심 개념과관련 개념을 기반으로 한다. 둘째, 글로벌 맥락 속에서 세계 시민 양성을 목적으로 하고 있다. 셋째, 탐구 진술문과 탐구 질문을 통한 탐구 중심 학습을 설계한다. 넷째, 다양한 평가 방법을 활용한 과정중심평가를 지향하고 있다. 마지막으로 평가와 학습 목표의 연계를 통한 일관성 있는 수업 설계를 추구하고 있다. 이러한 특징들을 중심으로 우리나라의 핵심 개념과 핵심 아이디어 기반 교육과정의 음악과 수업 및 교재 개발에 적용할 시사점을 탐색하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the middle years programme(IB MYP) music curriculum in Baccalaureate International and to present implications. To this end, official documents provided by International Baccalaureate and middle school music textbooks were analyzed. The characteristics of IB MYP music curriculum is as follow. First, it is a concept-based curriculum that presents key concepts and related concepts. Second, it aims to foster global citizens in a global context. Third, inquiry-based learning is designed through inquiry statements and inquiry questions, and fourth, it aims to evaluate processes using various evaluation methods. Finally, con- sistent instructional design is pursued through the link between evaluation and learning goals. Based on these characteristics, suggestions that can be applied to the development of music classes and textbooks in the core concept and core idea-based curriculum were derived.
