인공지능 예술에 담긴 커뮤니케이션에 대한 고찰

인공지능은 예술가들에게 큰 영감을 주었고, 창작도구로 사용된 인공지능예술로 다양하게 등장했다. 이후 예술주체 가능성에 대한 의견이 충돌되고 학계에서는 이를 주제로 한 많은 연구들이 진행되었다. 하지만 대부분의 연구내용은 완성된 창작결과물의 형태분석이 주를 이룬다. 하여 다른 접근방식으로 연구의 필요성을 느끼고 인공지능과 예술을 동등한 연구대상으로 삼아 둘 사이의 교차점을 모색하여 인공지능예술을 탐색하고자 한다. 첫째, 커뮤니케이션의 의의를 이해한다. 사회의 모든 체계는 커뮤니케이션으로 구성되어 있기 때문에 인공지능과 예술에서 커뮤니케이션이 발현될 것이다. 둘째, 인공지능의 발달과 인공지능, 인간지능의 학습구조 연구를 진행한다. 지능을 학습하기 위해 데이터를 전달하는 과정을 커뮤니케이션 이론으로 분석한다. 셋째, 진행된 연구를 바탕으로 인공지능예술작품을 분석하고 커뮤니케이션에 대해 사유한다. 그 결과 인공지능, 예술, 인공지능예술에서 각각 커뮤니케이션을 가지는 것을 확인했다. 커뮤니케이션은 발신자와 수신자에 따라 ‘이중의 우연성’에서 ‘가상의 이중 우연성’으로 복잡한 커뮤니케이션을 생성한다. 또한 정보-통지-이해의 커뮤니케이션 과정 중 선별주체는 의도와 결과에 가치를 부여하는 중요한 역할을 한다. 인공지능예술은 인공지능 나름대로의 정보의 선별과 통지의 선별을 보내더라도 종국에는 인간이 최초의 정보와 통지를 선별한대로 이해하게 될 것이다. 또한 이해의 결과물은 인간에 의해 채택되어 발표된다. 그러므로 인공지능예술은 인간이 설계된 결과로 주장하는 바이다. 하지만 인공지능은 스스로 커뮤니케이션을 재생산하는 과정에 인간이 의도하지 않은 순수한 우연성의 중첩으로(가상의 이중 우연성) 우연성을 띈 추상성을 가진다. 인공지능예술은 알고리즘을 통해 독창적으로 지어내기 위한 노력을 커뮤니케이션을 통해 창조한다. 예술/비예술의 우연성에 대한 고찰을 반복시키는 모든 행위가 예술의 진화과정을 이끈다고 보며 지속적인 인공지능 간 커뮤니케이션으로 우연성을 다중 중첩시키는 과정이 인공지능예술의 특이점을 발견하는 탐색적 시각을 보여주었다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 본 논문에서 ‘우연성을 띈 추상성’의 ‘추상성’은 물리학적인 관점으로 우연의 중첩으로부터 발생하는 고정되지 않고 끊임없이 변화하는 특성을 말한다. 추후 미학적 관점에서 시각표현에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되며 향후 후속 연구가 필요하다.
Abstract
Artificial intelligence has been a great inspiration for artists. Artificial intelligence art was created in various ways using artificial intelligence as a creative tool. Since then, there has been a dispute over the possibility of art subjects. In academia, many studies have been conducted on this subject. However, most of the research contents are mainly based on the morphological analysis of the completed creative results. So I felt the need for research in a different approach. Artificial intelligence and art were the same research subjects. And I want to find the intersection between the two and explore artificial intelligence art. First, understand the meaning of communication. The whole system of society consists of communication. Therefore, communication will be found in artificial intelligence and art. Second, research is conducted on the development of artificial intelligence and the learning structure of artificial intelligence and human intelligence. The process of delivering data to learn intelligence is analyzed with communication theory. Third, artificial intelligence works of art are analyzed based on the research conducted. Finally, I organize about communication. It was confirmed that each has communication in artificial intelligence, art, and artificial intelligence art. Communication is complex communication from 'double coincidence' to 'virtual double coincidence' depending on the sender and receiver. In the process of information-notification-understanding communication, the screening subject plays an important role. Artificial intelligence art will be understood as humans have selected the first information and notifications, and eventually humans will finally select and present their works. Therefore, it is argued that artificial intelligence art is the result of human design. However, when artificial intelligence communicates on its own, it has an abstraction that has coincidence that humans do not intend. Artificial intelligence art is created through communication to make it original with algorithms. Repeated considerations of the coincidences of art/non-art will lead to the evolution of art. The virtual double coincidence in artificial intelligence communication has discovered the peculiarities of artificial intelligence art. Finally, in the paper, the 'abstractness' of 'accidental abstraction' refers to a characteristic that is constantly changing without being fixed from a physical perspective. This is expected to affect visual expression from an art perspective, and research is needed.
