본 연구는 COVID-19 팬데믹이 촉발한 인간 문명의 근본적 전환과 이를 둘러싼 철학적, 윤리적, 생태학적 과제를 다룬다. 팬데믹은 인간 중심주의의 한계를 여실히 드러내며, 인간과 비인간, 기술과 자연의 관계를 재구성해야 할 필요성을 제기했다. 본 연구는 포스트휴머니즘적 관점에서 팬데믹 이후의 뉴 노멀 사회가 요구하는 새로운 세계관과 생태적 전환의 방향성을 탐구한다. 특히 본 논문은 팬데믹의 역사적 맥락과 문명사적 전환을 분석하며, 생태계 파괴와 기후 변화가 팬데믹 위기의 지속성에 미친 영향을 고찰한다. 또한, 인공지능, 로봇, 생명공학과 같은 기술적 혁신이 인간과 자연의 경계를 허물며 새로운 생명 네트워크를 형성하는 과정을 탐색한다. 이를 통해 인간과 비인간, 기술과 생태계가 상호 의존적 존재로서 공존해야 할 필요성을 제기한다. 아울러 본 연구는 종교와 과학의 융합적 접근을 제안하며, 생태적 윤리와 지속 가능성을 위한 다학제적 협력의 중요성을 강조한다. 종교는 인간과 자연의 관계를 재정립하는 윤리적 통찰을 제공하고, 과학은 기술적 대응을 통해 생태계와의 조화를 꿈꾸어야 한다. 이러한 통합적 접근은 팬데믹 이후 지속 가능한 미래를 구축하는 데 필수적인 틀을 제공한다. 결론으로 본 논문은 팬데믹 포스트휴머니즘의 관점에서 인간 중심주의를 넘어선 새로운 생태적 관계와 윤리적 기준을 모색하며, 뉴 노멀 시대의 도전과 기회를 통합적으로 이해하기 위한 학문적 기반을 제시한다. 이를 통해 팬데믹이 드러낸 인간과 비인간의 경계 재구성과 지속 가능한 문명 모델의 가능성을 탐구한다.
Abstract
This research examines the fundamental transformation of human civilization triggered by the COVID19 pandemic and addresses the accompanying philosophical, ethical, and ecological challenges. The pandemic has exposed the limitations of anthropocentrism, emphasizing the need to reconstruct the relationships between humans and nonhumans, as well as between technology and nature. From the perspective of posthumanism, this research explores the new worldview and ecological transitions demanded by the postpandemic “new normal” society. In particular, this paper analyzes the historical context of pandemics and the resulting civilizational shifts, while critically examining the impact of ecosystem destruction and climate change on the persistence of pandemic crises. Furthermore, it investigates how technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and biotechnology, dissolve the boundaries between humans and nature, forming new networks of life. This analysis underscores the necessity for humans, nonhumans, technology, and ecosystems to coexist as interdependent entities. Additionally, this research advocates for an integrated approach that merges religion and science, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to promote ecological ethics and sustainability. Religion provides ethical insights to redefine the humannature relationship, while science supports the restoration of ecosystems through technological solutions. Such an integrated framework is essential for constructing a sustainable future in the postpandemic era. In conclusion, this research seeks to explore new ecological relationships and ethical standards that transcend anthropocentrism from the perspective of pandemic posthumanism. It aims to provide an academic foundation for comprehensively addressing the challenges and opportunities of the new normal era. Through this framework, the study investigates the reconstruction of boundaries between humans and nonhumans and the potential for a sustainable civilizational model revealed by the pandemic.
