Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between voters' perception of their income class and political participation. Based on data from the 21st general election, the 20th presidential election, and the 8th local elections, it was found that lower-income groups are more actively involved in voting than higher-income groups, while higher-income groups are more active in political participation through the internet. Furthermore, voters with high political knowledge tend to vote beyond their class, suggesting that informed political participation can transcend class interests. Ultimately, the study concludes that voters with high political knowledge have the potential to influence parties that present good policies, regardless of their income class. This demonstrates the possibility that voters with high political knowledge can exert influence on their preferred parties.
