본 연구는 아동학대 가해 아버지들의 아동학대 경험과 중단 그리고 자녀와의 친밀감 재구성에 대한 근거이론 연구이다. 연구에서는 아버지들의 아동학대에 대한 구체적 내용과 학대 중단과 자녀와의 관계 재구성에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하고 그 결과를 제시하여 아동보호전문기관의 상담역량 강화에 기여하고자 하였다. 본 연구에는 9명의 아동학대 가해 아버지들이 참여하였다. 자료는 연구 참여자들과 심층면담을 통해 구성하였다. 근거이론 연구방법 절차에 따라 분석한 결과 156개의 개념, 36개의 하위범주, 12개의 범주가 도출되었다. 연구의 결론이자 핵심범주는 ‘가부장적 사고와 폭력 지향적 양육관행에서 벗어나 자신의 삶을 성찰하고 적극적으로 양육방법을 재구성하여 부모 자녀가 소통할 수 있는 새로운 가족을 만드는 과정’으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 근거하여 논의를 하였고 아동보호전문기관의 상담역량 강화를 위한 제언을 하였다.
Abstract
This study is a grounded theory research on the experience of child abuse, its cessation, and the reconstruction of intimacy with their children by fathers who have committed child abuse. The research aimed to analyze the specific aspects of child abuse by these fathers, the factors influencing the cessation of abuse, and the re-establishment of relationships with their children, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the enhancement of counseling capabilities at child protection agencies. A total of nine fathers who had committed child abuse participated in the study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the participants. The analysis, conducted following grounded theory research procedures, revealed 156 concepts, 36 subcategories, and 12 categories. The core category and conclusion of the study was identified as "the process of breaking away from patriarchal thinking and violence-oriented parenting practices, reflecting on their lives, actively reconstructing parenting methods, and creating a new family structure where parents and children can communicate." Based on the findings, discussions were held, and recommendations were made to enhance the counseling capabilities of child protection agencies.
