Cancers have the ability to spread to the oral cavity and invade the mandible. Metastatic malignant lesions are relatively uncommon, accounting for approximately 1% of all oral malignancies. Due to their unusual clinical and radiographic characteristics, diagnosing metastatic lesions presents a challenge. The objective of this report is to present two cases of metastatic breast carcinoma and follicular thyroid carcinoma in the mandible. These cases emphasize the significance of obtaining a comprehensive medical history and conducting a thorough clinical examination to enable early detection of metastatic carcinomas in the mandible.
Abstract
