본 연구는 티베트 동전에 나타나는 몇 가지 문양에 대한 분석이다. 티베트 동전의 종류 에는 동화와 은화가 있으며 일부 금화가 발행되었다. 일반적으로 화폐에 사용된 문양은 한 나라를 대표하는 상징성을 띤다. 티베트의 경우도 마찬가지이다. 티베트 동전은 전체적인 도안이나 배치, 문자를 이용한 표기법 등이 매우 독특하여 그 자체로서 가치를 지닌다. 동전에 새겨진 내용은 동전의 종류에 따라 문양과 문자가 다르게 나타나지만 대부분 유사한 내용을 담고 있는 경우가 많다. 이러한 내용들은 티베트만의 문화적 정수를 대변하는 것이기 때문에 동전에 새겨진 상징물에 대한 연구는 티베트문화를 이해하는데 중요한 대상이 된다. 동전의 문양에 대한 연구는 다음과 같은 순서로 진행되었다. 첫째, 돈의 단위와 연대표기법 및 문자에 대해 살펴본다. 둘째, 동전의 종류에 대해 살펴본다. 셋째, 동전의 상징기호를 분석한다.
Abstract
This study is an analysis of some patterns in Tibetan coins. Tibetan coins are made of bronze and silver, and some gold coins are issued. In general, the pattern used for money is symbolic of the country. The same goes for Tibet. Tibetan coins are very unique in their overall design, arrangement, and notation using letters, and thus have value in themselves. The contents of the coins appear differently according to the type of coins, but most of them contain similar contents. Because these contents represent the essence of Tibetan culture, the study of symbols emblazoned on coins is an important subject for understanding Tibetan culture. The study of patterns of coins was conducted in the following order. Second, we examine the kinds of silver coins. Third, analyze symbols of coins.
